Caden is a Senior at Texas State University working towards a B.S. in Biology. Through his coursework, he found interest in organic chemistry. In the Schilter Lab, Caden is working to sharpen his analytical chemistry skills, which he hopes to use in graduate school. For example, in a project in collaboration with the Wittliff Collection, he used SEM-EDX, UV-visible and IR spectroscopies to characterize materials in Kuchina Dolls – traditional crafts in Hopi Native American culture. His article on this project was published in Southwestern Archivist 2023, 46, 23. In his free time, Caden enjoys reading and watching Netflix with his cats =^.^= =^.^=
