Rebecca completed her Associate of Science degree at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College (2020−2022). In the Fall of 2022, Rebecca transferred to Western Carolina University. This chemical curiosity motivated her to join the Schilter Lab at Texas State (2023) through the NSF Research Experiences for Undergraduates program. Rebecca studied the inter- and intramolecular forces at play in metal complex salts using tandem mass spectrometry. She is now a Senior at Western Carolina University (2023−) working towards a B.S. in Chemistry and Psychology. After her undergraduate studies, Rebecca intends to pursue her passion for learning and helping others by entering medical school.
