Sonam joined us in 2024 from India 🙂 Previously, she got her B.Sc. (2006), M.Sc. (2008) and M.Phil. (2009) from C.S.J.M. University, Kanpur. She then joined Prof. Raja Angamuthu at IIT Kanpur to study the sequestration and activation of environmentally-detrimental molecules using bio-inspired weak interactions. For this, she was awarded her Ph.D. (2018). Sonam subsequently taught at Purshottam Sri Ram Degree college, a PUI in Kanpur (2019-2022). Wanting to change course, she then worked as a Research Scientist at PI Industries, Udaipur (2022-2024). Her work at TXST involves the synthesis of bio-inspired Ni complexes for alkane activation. In her free time, Sonam enjoys playing badminton, singing Bollywood rhymes and cooking every type of cuisine imaginable! Â
