Tarek Aziz

Tarek completed his BS and MS in Chemistry from Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh. During his master’s program, he focused on organometallic synthesis and characterization.

Following his studies, Tarek worked in a quality control laboratory (approved by USFDA, UK MHRA, and TGA) for a leading pharmaceutical company in Bangladesh, where he gained practical experience with various analytical techniques.

Currently, he is pursuing a PhD in Materials Science, Engineering, and Commercialization at Texas State University. His research focuses on synthetic modelling of the methyl-coenzyme M active site. Such work can help us understand the mechanisms of methane production in methanogenic archaea.

Outside of his academic pursuits, Tarek enjoys running, cycling, and networking.
